Once again we bow our heads in remembrance of those who died while protecting us. Bless you all.

Join us for good hot coffee and a big ol' breakfast sandwich on a bagel. You can skip lunch with one of these bad boys. Enjoy!

It's been several years since I let the Axeman 130 stay going this far into the Spring, but it's been darn cool & damp all month. I'm hoping this April in May will lead to a long, long summer. May we wearing T-shirts in November!

I need new tires for my CRV. For the first time ever I'm going to pony up and buy Michelin tires. I found some on sake for just under $150 each. Ouch! They had best be as quiet as people say!

Hope you all have a smooth and calm weekend. Forward we go!

Hello everyone

May we all remember the reason for our holiday and I hope there is a flag out on your lawn. I will be installing a permanent flagpole here in the next few years to fly both the US and PA State flags together.

You will love the Michelin’s Fred. Less road noise, smoother ride, and better handling. Back in the 1970’s my Grandfather used to hop in the pickup truck and drive across two States in order to buy Michelin radials for the front of the tri-axles. For whatever reason, they were not available around here. We ran a lot of Firestone and BFG’s too, but in the last 5 years, times have been good enough that we can afford to buy better tires. It’s been all Michelin’s on the steer and drive axles ever since, no regrets. /End of speech.

I have a load of lime to spread and my tri-axle maintenance is all done. We mowed the lawns last night so I should be able to cruise right through the weekend.

Have a great one!

I second that!

Hi all and how’s things ? Ok here just camping with friends and family. Enjoying my weekend off after working like a fool :no1: ( I’m getting to old for those kind of hrs)
Michelin makes good tires for cars Freddy but the ones that came on my truck from the factory weren’t very good ( my 92’ Dodge and 17’ Ford both had them) couldn’t get 30,000 out of either set and the traction in the snow was horrible.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend and enjoy yourselves!

Mornin',
I would like a cup of that fresh ground 'kicking horse' coffee, Freddy. Thank you.
Memorial Day week-end. The un-official start of Summer activities. I'm with you, Freddy, hoping for a long Summer!

Let us not forget those that gave their lives fighting for our freedom. Have a nice week-end, everyone.
Cheers

Those damned Michelins had better be good as I put a pair on the rear of the Mustang at $380 each.... ouch. Shelleys struggles to get back to normal are about over and she is fitter than ever. Now we have a 67 year old with two top level competition horses ready to go. Her rich friend trailered her to a horse show in her almost new 2016 GM truck Duramax 6.6 powered etc etc. The cooling light came on and everyone got nervous. So guess who had go and get the horses in his 2000 dually 7.3. That truck is a cosmetic mess but no rust and 200,000 miles and going strong. They wanted me to look at it ... it had coolant .. and so I said .. get outta here, I am too old for that chit. Gotta love that Gale Banks, she still goes like snot.

So many things are breaking I can't even give you a list.... and so we struggle on.

Nice day on The Cape...
Stove still burning coal...
Another day or two as nights are still cool...
Ok just spoiled...
Took a ride to Bourne National Cemetery...
Flags for Vets...
https://www.facebook.com/events/massachusetts-nat ... 524821784/
Quite the sight all the flags lined up...
Kids are asking about this kind of stuff...
And their grandfather is telling some tales of Korea...
Start them out slow and let it sink in...
The enormity of war...
Placed a few flags and the Governor Charlie Baker was even there speaking...

Freddy,

Michelin in my opinion are worth every penny. To bad you aren't a couple of dozen miles away as I have four Michelin Lattitude's I'm trying to sell. I put them on a "certified new" Honda Oddessy Elite as it came with cheap Firestones. The Michelin's were noticibly quieter. Unfortunately the Honda Certified New had a hole in it - literally a hole in the roof that wasn't very noticeable except at sun down when it's easier to notice shades and dimples. In the middle of a dimple was a hole about the size of a small finishing nail. Water got in, staining the headliner and creating a rust line down the center roof. Worst of all is the dealer tried hiding the mold and mildew as I found a small deodorizing strip in the chair rail. I told the dealer I would sue unless he bought back the van, he did. Anyway I put the old Firestones back on and kept the Michelins having only 3,000 miles on them. I bought them at Costco and apparently if I sell them they will honor the balance of the 45,000 mile warranty. By the way they are size 235-60-R18. I'll be losing money but I'm seeking $100 each. Be well all!

I was working Saturday so I had coffee from the 7-Eleven. I made it back for beer from the local club bar. It should be a busy weekend with things needing done around here.

Freddy, I love Michelin tires, I think they are the best tires out there but sometimes you must ask “do I need the best for what I do?” I have vehicles that don’t see enough mile in a year to justify Michelins, the tires would need to be replaced due to dry rot before they would be close to being worn out. For an everyday driver that sees a fair amount of miles in a year Michelins are a good choice.

In honor of Memorial Day and to all those who have served;

Snuffy.... that would be a deal, but I needed 265-70-17's. You'll find a buyer!

Oh man! Wouldn't you know, on Memorial day weekend, I find my flag laying over the bushes at the bottom of the flag pole..... rope broken! (at least the flag landed on the bushes & not the ground) 25 foot flag pole..... 24 foot extension ladder. Nope, won't work for two reasons. The fiberglass flag pole isn't strong enough to support it, and, The rope on the ladder broke putting it up!!! Did I buy them at the same time? LOL So, Scotty has this idea: Park his box truck with it's 9 foot tall flat roof next to the pole and on the roof stand his 12 foot extension ladder. That almost worked, but it ends up too far from the pulley at the top of the pole. So.... fold the ladder up and lean it from the truck rood against the pole. That worked! A bit scary, but up I went as I'm lighter than Scotty. We had a back up plan....if something goes wrong I would attempt a back flip to execute a landing on the truck roof. Luckily plan B wasn't needed.
