Sure they are forecasting cold next week at last, but this is a deep, deep polar vortex that is coming. Black Cloud here speaks again. WM runs to AZ, national grid will be uniquely strained, CN slits throat. I can't believe how much coal I am chewing through.
I am not happy.

Guess you will need to fire up the GW bookends.
I'm still on track with my annually coal consumption.

Im running 4 pounds a day more this year than what I consider average, so 10% over. There was some real warm November/December weather or it would be much more. Its looking like March 9th is the day it starts warming up here. Deep freeze again in a couple days.
Make sure to sharpen the knife first so it wont hurt as much.

You don't have to go on the roof to sweep snow off your solar heat exchanger panels to keep warm!!

Hey T,
Today, once again, a solar salesman knocked on the door and tried to sell me group solar. Being PC, I reminded him that he had tried before and would he please bug*er off and leave me in peace. I did use solar to wash horses in the summer only and it worked well. DHW, no way, way to variable. For very limited uses, like washing my Bolt on a hot day,.... OK. Anybody want to buy the system? Nah, I thought not.

Grab an IPA or two and watch them clear a road out to Nicholet (Pierres place). Stunning video.
