I've let it grow out since the fall because i wanted see if it looked any good, I'm working on about 5 or 6 inches of steel wire on my face. Electric razor? They tremble before me. In any event the dcision to keep the long beard was settled the other day, as I'm checking out at the grocery store I was asked if I was eligible for the senior citizen discount. :o I'm no spring chicken but I till have almost 2 decades before I hit that number. Most of my hair is still naturally brown but the beard has a lot of white. Going to have get out the hedge trimmers and dial it back to the normal one inch length.

Leave it alone and get some shabby clothes and a tin cup.

I have an old Wahl professional trimmer probably from the 60's which works really fast. Need to be careful because it will take off limbs. I only use it for the heavy lifting, it goes no where near my lip, ears or whatever. Only needed to make that mistake once. I have newer full sized Wahl consumer trimmer for the finesse stuff. It's safe enough I can even jam the corner of the trimmer into my ears and nose.

Most people will tell you the only thing I need is the tin cup. :D I have nice clothes but I mostly wear old stuff until it falls off me.

An Ocasio Cortez button would complete the ensemble to be in fashion for the hottest new growth industry of homelessness.

That's not going to happen, while it is still mostly brown it has migrated from the top of my head to my ears, nose and eyebrows. I could grow some handlebars from all three. Use the beard as comb over to complete the ensemble. :annoyed:

I look like a mountain man right now Richard but you know the life of a coal delivery man. I have not been clean shaven for 12 years and don’t suppose I ever will again at this point. I don’t HAVE to be cold.

My beard is down to my chest almost but I don’t know how the clean shaved breeds can handle -20 wind chills. I even left my hair grow much longer than what was normal and truthfully I sort of like it. May let it go down to my shoulders for a change, I’m not sure yet.

My mother says I look like hell so I will keep it up. There is sport in it. :D

I haven't seen my upper lip in more than 25 years. LOL Had goatee through most of my 20's and then I got really lazy and grew the beard starting in my 30's. Haven't shaved it off completely since. I always kept it trimmed to about an inch, think I may go back.
My mother says I look like hell so I will keep it up.

Same here but she never liked the beard at any length.

My mommy said ... beware of men with hirsute appendages . Women even more so. I believe Aristotle stated that pogonotomy was a waste of time and you could learn many languages in the time saved. Of course, that was before Pornhub and the dubious activities of coal burners.

You should come visit Northern NY for a few weeks next January. When you go home you will be too hot and ready to shave the crumb catcher.

If that wind blows hard enough to send your thermometer airborne out over Lake Champlain and let nothing but the screws... it might just blow the beard right offa me face! :D

A beard is a poor replacement for a ski mask. Lets more wind through, and gets full of ice.
