Just came back from CA where Shelley enjoyed her family. The family meeting was just South of SF at Carmel By The Sea. An evening dining at Rocky Point restaurant was interrupted by a lightning storm that had the locals and us agog. Not my photo but it is close to what we watched. Not really rainy either ... hmmmm.

Awww ...... Thanks for posting that Simon. I was stationed at Fort Ord in Monterey and lived in Carmel for about a year afterwords.

I spent a lot of time on that beach and it brings back some great memories.

PW - Wading along the beach in the cold water watching 6 dolphins playing 30' from the shore, oblivious to the crowds watching. I don't see that one in Greenwood Lake. Log fires in the bins provided reading the latest news in the Pine Cone newspaper. I do not like the climate much though as yes I have been there a few times ... breakfast at Katys. Do as I do ... buy the best leather jacket in the whole world at Coach for way to much money... and then leave it on the plane.
