Me and the family went to see the eclipse, we went to the Jefferson Davis state historic site between Hopkinsville and Russelville. The totality lasted something like 2min 20sec, it was worth the horrible traffic. We got tangled up in stop an go traffic in Russelville to Elizabethtown. Then again in Cincinnati Oh, I ended up getting home a 3am Tuesday morning.

That's awesome! It's definitely worthy of making an effort for. I feel so lucky that we made it to the shadow AND the weather was perfect. It's interesting how dependant the cumulus clouds are so dependant on solar energy. We actually had a few clouds that day, but as the penumbaral shadow approached, an hour ahead of totality, the lite cumulus clouds dissipated as solar radiation was reduced by the encroaching moon. By the time totality was upon us, the clouds were gone.
