Hi Guys,

OK, I have been gone a l o n g time and I missed you guys. A catastrophic health problem with my wife put her close to death and the ER a number of times and it has been 8 months from hell. The good news is that she is fighting fit again now and riding horses again. The details do not matter but FF and Shelley could exchange a load of notes. So 24 tons from Lehigh and I have to get ready for the upcoming season. Glad to be back --- now who can I pick on? For those that sent PMs, thx for your concerns,

It's great to have ya back CN! It was getting a little boring around here without ya.

A whole lot has changed while you were gone. Take your time and poke around a little and you will find most everything.

It always scares me when someone disappears like that, I tend to think the worst.

That is the quote of the century for anybody going through family health issues like I did. Dragged her out of ER with 106* and dosed her with horse antibiotics as she obviously had high grade systemic sepsis ... gram negative rods and she was on vancomycin - phkin idiots. E coli nearly killed her. Hemoglobin under 6 and no blood transfusions!! I am going to sue someone once this is over. Perhaps I will give chapter and verse on this whole thing later and perhaps I will own Orange County Regional Center. Now she is 100% and I am in constant trouble again ... good to have her back. Meanwhile I have a lot of reading to do to catch up.

24 tons of Lehighs best rice (from the breaker this time) at $128 a ton - $150 in the bin - love it.

Wishing the Mrs. the very best and a strong come back. My Mrs is recovering from from the big "C" and is picking on me as usual!

Well I declare!

I sure am glad you are back Simon and very thankful your wife is healing again. Sounds to me like you had more than enough to look after lately. It's crazy how quickly the delicate balance gets thrown off around this place when one of us goes missing suddenly for no reason. I don't post overly often because of my hammerdown lifestyle but I've been here along time and miss the regulars when they don't clock in.

You made it back just in time to fill the coal bin, clean the stoves, aggrevate the Democrats and get prepared to light up for another season all while you bust a rib or two. Hurry up though, my guess is that there will be an early start to the heating season based on our overnight temperatures here now.
