Over more than the past year, many had written Ukraine off as not being able to hold out.

Well, they not only did they hold out,... now halfway through year three, they are also holding on to a good chunk of Russian territory.

Reminds me of what happened in this country back in the late 1700s. Many said a rag-tag bunch of Rebels couldn't beat one of the most powerful armies in the world. They too underestimated the determination and fighting spirit of people fighting for their freedom.

Gotta say, invading Russia while being invaded took a real set of balls. When I look at the map of the invasion all I can see is why doesnt Russia force a line about where the border is, blocking Ukraines retreat, and then slaughter them? Its been done thru history many times. All I have for an answer is its because they cant, dont have the power too.
