That and right now it’s -18 outside, what kind of problems would that create lol
The units I was finding are in a sense sealed systems by being under water at the intake and the rest is through pipes. As long as the water keeps moving under the ice to the inlet it works fine. Your just not allowed to install it in a stream.

Local trailer park owner diverted part of a small stream to prevent flood part of his trailer park during spring thaws. He got slapped with some heavy fines.

There's plenty of alternatives ... IF the government would get the f!#k out of the way and let us use them! A minuscule nuclear reaction could heat a home for YEARS with ZERO emissions. Where's the left on that one? Oh, they don't like nuclear, either.

Smitty:

Doesn't your electric bill break out all the charges for your supply and

delivery... Standard Rate...

...

Off Peak rate D...

...

Off Peak rate E...
...

I have 3 meters because they can only supply power at a lower

amount on a single phase transformer...

On each bill you see a breakdown of all charges for the DELIVERY and

SUPPLY on each meter. Some are credits and some are debits...

I add the supply and delivery together to get the total chatge per

KWhr. I don't add the customer service charges or fees...

Regular Rate = $0.15299 per KWHr

Off Peak D = $0.14385 for ON Peak AND $0.04890 OFF Peak

Off Peak E = $0.14383 for ON Peak AND $0.04890 OFF Peak

Yeah I posted that here, but they got moved. Here they are again.

Leftist-run and dominated MA with their "feel-good" charges, propping up an industry that can't stand on its own in the free market. They'll bankrupt us all in the name of "clean air". It's horseshit - it's a takeover of the economy:

Indeed it is! Hopefully the handful of states with sanity will block this crap, and protect their citizens. FL is a prime example of how to run a state - others should take notice!

INDEED!! I've wanted to for YEARS. Wifey won't budge. :x Both her parents are still alive, so in the future when they're gone I might have a better chance of making it happen.

What's sickening is I was away for 2 fantastic years in AZ, 22 years ago. Then I moved to CA for 4 months, went bankrupt, spent everything I had to get back to MA, and had to move back in with my parents for 2 years to get back on my feet. What a *censored* show. :no1:

It's insane. We're in the best possible part of the state. Our town still votes with a shred of sanity, population is low, and my neighborhood is very rural ... BUT, it's still MA. So we get all the b/s from the lunatics on Beacon Hill attempting to make their LSD-fueled delusions a reality ...

In CT, they tag on taxes and fees but the generation amounts are of the provider you choose (CL&P is default if none chosen) then the distribution charges are from the electric company (CL&P). The electric company makes little or no $$ on generation but is basically a distribution company.

I still need to research and see if any fees/taxes were increased during 2020-2022 legislative sessions...for these I would sue as the legislature held no sessions (due to lack of the in-person public attendance requirements for a session mandated by the state const.).

The "solar" fee I would also attack under equal protection clause of fed. const.

I have pen and paper and know where the courthouse is.

The fate of anyone red in a blue state.

If you look at a political color map of NYS, the vast majority of the state is red. All the blue is the cities and that's where the majority of voters are.

Yep, no different in MA - everyone inside the 495 belt (eastward) dictates what happens in the entire state. That's why those sections of highway get torn up and repaved every few years, while my town and surrounding towns roads rival 3rd world status. They take care of their own. They see the stats. We don't vote "correctly", so our roads languish, and pound / beat our vehicles into the junkyard much sooner than they should be. One more thing to empty our wallets. They could care less, since they rake in tax dollars on all forms of auto repair, and purchase ... if you finally give up.

The too-blue are having a negative effect in NYS. NYC has lost a lot of the downstate population.

And a report last week said that because of the high taxes they are losing a lot of the wealthiest NY'ers, too. Botox Kathy is now pleading for them to come back.

There were even rumors of Albany passing a law to continue taxing former NY'ers after they move out of state. :baby:

No shock there - if the left had their way, they'd have us all paying 98% of our wages to them, for the "privilege" of them ruling over us. Imagine the kind of SCUMBAG that would try to tax someone for leaving a shitty situation that these politicians are responsible for! Scum of the earth! Useless wastes of skin! What the hell kind of upbringing did these twits have? It's just mind-boggling ...
