Test with brown shoe polish has been unsuccessful, it made them orange. I'm going to try some black shoe polish.
Vinyl car interior spray paint fixes you right up. Black is available, wonder how it takes goose grease for some water proofing. ;)

What the heck, if they are house shoes and comfortable, just relax and don't worry about the looks.

A serious warning, though, about narrow feet. Mine were, too, but as I got into the later decades of age they widened out. But I kept right on buying narrow shoes because I didn't realize it was happening. I started having more and more trouble with my feet until it hurt like the dickens just to limp across the room. When I finally figured it out, I threw out several pairs of narrow and started buying standard D widths. It felt a little better immediately but took about two years, really, two years, to completely clear up the pain.

I tried the medium width on the ones I wanted to purchase and they didn't fit as well, I even had thick socks on. I'll keep that in mind to try both widths for purchases in the future. I don't buy many pairs of shoes but I don't buy junk.... which is one of the reasons I don't buy many pair of shoes. The only time I bought junk was on the coal truck because that destroyed any footwear.
