Our other house started out as 24 x 24 garage in 1994. Then I just kept building and so after 26 years turned a 576 sq ft home into a 3000 sq ft home all without a mortgage. People laughed at me at first, such a Tiny Home, but as they paid 30 year mortgages, then refinanced them with second mortgages to pay credit card debt and whatnot, I just stayed the course.

I will admit having a sawmill and gravel pit helped, but it shows what hard work and clean living (no smoking, drinking or using drugs) will do in the long run. Not a lot of people can say they retired at age 42, or own (3) houses.

It has been tough these last two years with cancer and then reoccurring cancer, but I cannot imagine doing I with a boat load of debt.

For all of you that are anxiously waiting to hear how I did - I passed. Should get my callsign next week.
