Towards the end when she held the cat stretched out, that hold must kinda freeze the cats position. Im not a cat person so am unsure. I had a hold I used on canines but I held them downward and they froze like that. Would still bite if you got near their face but otherwise did nothing. Nice video.

I’m not sure about the stretched out position, but I know you can grab cats by the back of the neck and they freeze up. An instinct from when they are kittens, their mother would grab them by the back of the neck to carry them around.

Thanks Richard. Lucky girl getting to be with such beautiful and rare cats.
Kittens are usually very forgiving of how they can be held, and some adult cats, too. But not all adult cats are trusting enough to be held in such a way that they can't move, especially if they had been strays like some of mine were. It's a natural defense thing.
I had a 21 pound Maine Coon Cat that I was the only one who could pick him up and hold him. Anyone else would get clawed for trying.
The cat I have now, will only let Melissa pick her up and hold her. But she often sleeps on my lap while I'm watching TV, or on the blanket on top of me at night. Like people, cats all have different personalities.
