Princess just had a skin infection the vet was puzzled said usually in hot climates and I could only say that maybe I do overheat the house but I do feel badly for my poor old girl. So, having been told by my son visiting from Vancouver that the heat is oppressive I will use the Champion 23, a much smaller stove and that should control the heat. Or prevent overheating although when it's 40 below I'll be sorry.

He's a big guy. Does he make room if you come to the chair so he can lie on your lap like when he was a puppy?

Princess my little red nose has passed on. Such a good dog she was. She did used to take off after cats sometimes when she was young and although was not large, only about 50 pounds, when she came galloping down from the back field finally she sounded like a herd of horses somehow.
She had a great attitude: when we were out for a walk in Montreal a huge guy down the road who owned five of her shouted, "Hey" at her and she looked back at him over her shoulder and snarled something far more authoritative than what he'd said. Oh my. I'll miss her very much.

Sorry for your loss Jen. We get so attached to our pets. Some are exceptionally special. By the look of your photo, you still have company, or another K9 companion. Hang in there.
