SMITTY; we have those milk snakes around here too. They are beautiful and harmless but they look too damned much like a copperhead! The black one with the yellow ring around the neck is a ringneck snake. They are also beautiful and harmless and max out usually under a foot in length. The few I have ever found were in the 6-8 inch range.

Ringneck snake. Thanks for the info! 8-)

First time in my life I have ever seen or heard of one of those. That was an older pic too - probably 3 years now at least. You never know what your gonna find out in my yard! Every day it's something new.

This pair of Pileated Woodpeckers are usually nearby. Typically they're not paired up when I see them but yesterday, they apparently had something else on their mind. They were going clock-wise around the trees a few steps at a time. Sometimes they'd spread their wings a bit to show the white bars, other times they'd just skitter around the trunk.

There used to be a lot of Chimpmunks here when we first moved here, actually found one in the basement. With the two dogs I think they all decided to move onto greener pastures.

Anything out in the backyard scatters when they hear the back door open, the little one got smart and started charging out the door towards a group of pines and rock wall where the squirrels hang out. The closest I've seen them catch anything was Mollie, I let her out the backdoor and there was robin sitting there. She started her stalking thing and charged! I thought holy *censored* she's going to catch it and then ran right by it, was something else she saw farther away. They go up in the woods but I haven't seen them bring anything back other than the occasional dead mouse.

Totally professional -- something I can never claim to be. :D

I should have taken pics of these green caterpillars that were chowing on my collard greens. Finally picked them from the garden before the bugs got all the good parts. My wife was picking thru her plate all night! You'd think she'd appreciate when I cook for her! :D

I gotta at least try to add to the thread here .....Look at this nasty bastard I came face-to-face with out in the barn!
:wtf: is that :fear: run forest RUN!
