I'm going to buy a GPS for my daughter. She needs it for the car, I'm not looking for a hand held device at all. I'm looking for something fairly easy to operate, that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It should come with lifetime updates, and be easy to program. I don't want to spend an arm and leg, any suggestions?

I would suggest anything from Garmin. Even their cheap ones work well. Lifetime maps usually ads a few more dollars.

Have a Garmin Nuvi 1100, older model, but works good, lifetime updates. I think I got off ebay for under $75. it was used, but barely.
