https://www.ivybank.com/cds

4.85% one for 1 yr APY

I have a CD maturing this month .. rate was 1% at the time.

My bank has a savings/checking acct that mirrors the fed rate...at 4.3% now, expected to go up to 4.5% in March.

Anyone seen better than 4.85% APY for one yr ?

I can remember 7% CD's many years back. They have savings accounts now that are 3.5%.

Wouldn’t do any CD’s just yet, savings will be at 5 or close soon and may go above that by summer.

https://www.capitalone.com/bank/cds/online-cds/

I'll look into this one...go online and they want a bunch of info to get the basics of the CD, like maximum amount etc.

I'll have to call them

EDIT: I called them .. they only do on-line CDs (ie everything over the internet)

There are plenty of on-line banks that do what Capitol One does .. I don't do banking business online. I use either US Mail or telephone fax .

Most bank CD links with links I provide one can call and open an acct over the phone or by mail as an option. They'll send you signature cards to return etc..all by US Mail.

I've never used any on-line banking. Never lost any money. I'll stick with that policy. People are free to make up their own minds.

The rate looks good....some might be happy with them

https://www.creditonebank.com/cd one with 5.05% APY slightly higher than Cap. One with 13 mo term

Best rate I saw was 16.5, so it depends which internet you are looking at. They will never be that high again. Moving money now into 3.4% savings account. My I fund government bonds are at 9.62.
