At a certain age you can count on one hand those you can really depend on. Now that im not young and invincible anymore i appreciate every kindness extended by others wether family or not family and try to return it in spades.

Age matters not one bit. If you find someone who you can count on keep them in your inner circle, thank them and remind them that you appreciate them.

THats true but its at an advanced age that you can see more clearly and appreciate more who you can depend on and who are fake friends.

I learned that lesson real early. Kid I thought was a.friend handcuffed me to a seat on the bus knowing he didn't have the key.

Now you know how to get out of cuffs without a key. Excellent skill to know.

These 5% rates will make the National debt servicing explode. I think they may not last long. The govt (Taxpayers)_cant afford 2 trillion a year in interest payments on the Nat debt. Which is where are headed in a few short years.

Yea .5 to 1 % Correction: Avg rate of govt bonds currently held is now around 2% and rising. Still 2027 numbers should be accurate.
Once it all rolls over to 5% the govt interest payments will skyrocket . May take a few years but by that time the debt will be at 43T by only 2027. Doing the math 5% on 43T is over 2T a year interest. Every month more old rates(2%) roll over into new rates(5%).
