Well the Fed had their emergency meeting today, I was certain they would do a rate hike today instead of waiting until March.

But it looks like we’re not going to hear what the meeting was about today.

Maybe tomorrow…

The last I heard ,and I’ll have to refind the source , there are analysts saying that the Fed needs to go a full 2% to put a finger in the shiza dam with any hope of continued containment

Here is the real situation. Our CB does not care about you, employment or inflation. So only care to keep the 8 private owners of the bank as rich as possible and asset prices up. So yes, a few minor rate rises until the market reacts and they then they lower again very quickly. None of this will change inflation one jot. Simple maths it's not $30T it is $90T and counting. So in an economy that is around $22T if I add 3% then interest charges are an additional $3T ... aint going to happen. This is not 1980 all over again. We just have to stop out of control spending. It's not hard to understand
