I'm thinking about when I build my shed I'll add a overhang and put the generator under that. Maybe even all off the other two sides so that the sound is deflected away from the house.
A shed between you and the generator should make a big noise reduction. We have trains that run a couple hundred yards from the house, and when they go behind the next-door building they get much quieter!

I purchased a Champion dual fuel 7000/9000at Costco added a single 240v connection to the house and a manual transfer box by the breaker panel. I have a 5000 watt and single whole house connection at my daughters house and a 3500 watt backup. They all work great as long as you fun the carb dry to stop it.

Hi all brother in law was replacing his generator (I got the “old” one) it’s a generac works good after I wired it in, it runs once a week to keep the battery charged and test the system, runs off of natural gas, automatic transfer switch cost less than $200 to install (parts only) labor (free Me)
