Other than buffing it any other way to get it back to new look? I've tried the baking soda and vinegar, took some off but certainly not all of it. I don't have scratches but more like cooked on grease or whatever it is. I'd use Awesome which is probably best grease cleaner I have used but that etches glass, don't ask me how I know. It also takes off cheap paint, don't ask me how I know that either.

This is one reason I wanted regular stove but they didn't have any. It came with buffing compound and that worked alright but I was just using paper towel. I need to get some buffing wheels, in the meantime any suggestions?

Anybody use scotch pad with screwing it up?

It isn't glass really, it's a ceramic material. You need to be careful with what pots and pans you use. As I understand it, copper is a no no. As far as cleaning it, I'm going to be watching what comes up in this thread, we just got one.🙂

Works pretty well but I have no idea where I got it. I’m almost out hope it’s still available.

It’s still available just looked Wally World is out of stock, but amazon carries it for $18 it is $5 cheaper at Walmart. I’d give it a A rating it takes off grime and burnt water and buffs out real nice for a shiny look. With a little elbow grease.

Good thing half my pots are copper on bottom, LOL I inherited my Grandmothers Revereware. They don't work very well on flat surface because the bottoms are all slightly cupped. They will be really nice when I fire up the gas stove and ditch electric for good. I enjoy cooking, I can't wait.

I haven't seen anything specific with the copper, They are all smaller except one and always go on same burner. There is ring around the heating surface outside of where the pot would sit where stuff spatters etc. Apparently not hot enough to burn it off but hot enough to cook it on.

That's a buffing compound? As I noted it tried the sample that came with it and it was taking it off. I was hoping there was other option.

Cast iron also as it is often rough. The bottom surface must be very flat as the ceramic doesn't work well without full contact. Anything cupped may cause a failure in the ceramics because it has to be evenly heated.

FWIW....I use WD40 on mine. Then white vinegar after. Works for me. My gram taught me this a while ago.

I use the Weimans cleaner, if its got really burnt on crap a new razor in the scraper works well. Also a small ball of aluminum foil will remove crud without scratching on my Kenmore glasstop stove. I'm rather proud of the deal I got on that stove....$50 and it had the right plug on it. Thank you volunteers of america.
