Just remember, if you change or adjust the switch, make sure you reset the air pressure charge in the bladder of the tank accordingly.

You can verify this by connecting a pressure gauge somewhere downstream of the treatment system and seeing how the reading compares to the gauge at the pressure tank when someone is in the shower.
That's a great idea.

More great advice. For a low of 50 Lbs. that would be ~48 lbs., right?

I just grabbed a stopwatch and a plastic 1 gallon ice cream bucket and quickly ballpark measured the hot water GPM flow at several locations (to ~1" down from the top lip of the bucket):

1) Main bathroom sink ~= 1 GPM
2) Main bathroom shower ~= 1.5 GPM
3) Kitchen sink ~= 1.333 GPM
4) Master bedroom sink ~= 2 GPM
5) Master bedroom shower ~= TBD

These GPM flow rates seem to me to be perhaps about half of what they should be overall.

My kitchen sink measured 1.2 gpm (cold water only) with 45 psi at the tank.

I should have interjected that I chose to measure hot water GPM flow over cold by first making the assumption that hot water suffers a bit more pressure drop than would cold water since it goes through a few more pressure drop causing twists and bends in the road along the way to the faucets and shower heads. I assumed aforehand that cold water flow would be a bit higher, and my intent was to discover how bad things could possibly be.

I did not watch the pressure gauge on the pressure tank while doing these tests because I couldn't be at two places at once. It randomly was anywhere between 40 and 60 PSI.

That said, it does not seem that for kitchen sink GPM's there is significant difference between your house and mine.

My cycle stop valve is installed. Had a leak on one of the bushings, had to pull that poly off and spin the valve around one time. Getting that poly off the barbed fitting was the worst part of the job. I warmed it up with a heat gun but it was still tough.

So far it seems to work exactly as advertised. I put the garden hose in the pool and set the flow at about 2 gpm. Pump kicked on at 40 psi and had been at 50 psi ever since.

After nearly a week with the new piping arrangement and a few days with the cycle stop valve, I can tell you that I am really glad I made these changes. My well pump cycles less, the average water pressure during a shower is higher/consistent, and this morning I did the toilet flush test while my wife was in the shower - she said she could not tell.

We will be expecting an update in your well tank thread once you have it installed.

Tip - do the installation while your local hardware store is open.
