Kevin
More thought in it than actual work 😅
I sectioned off that portion of the shop to do my stoves.
The two bays with the inground lifts needs a new rubber roof and will eventually become my weld shop for projects like these.

Hopefully I will find the time this summer to get that section done.

Fortunately I can flip the tanks over...... my overhead welding leaves a lot to be desired. 😆

I figured that if you were going to start early to smoke ribs or a brisket you may as well have a good breakfast.

Since the firebox top gets up to 400* or better I added the stove lids for a fry pan and on the right side cut out a section to fit in a cast iron griddle plate from a Jen -Air cook top.

Its going to take a few days for them to dial it in. They have the two primary air adjustments on the firebox, the two exhaust dampers, the sliding tuning plate, and 5 dampers on the warming/ finishing box.

Its just a matter of finding the sweet spot to stay in the smoking or BBQ range.

They ordered some wireless temperature probes that work with a phone app that will give them a better control of the actual meat temp, and when they have to add wood.

Time will tell.
