WE'RE BACK ON THE ONAN DJB-6.0, FINALLY!!!
Well it's been about a year and a half since we really had to worry about power outages here. The Wicked storms that came through York County the other day with a couple Tornados spared us here. But 2 weeks ago a smaller storm came through and knocked power out for 24 hours. That gave me the incentive to get back on this project.
We left off on this project with a leaking fuel line. It's the one that goes between the filters and the high pressure pump. Today I had the hardware store make up a crimped line to replace it. Also replace the fuel filters and oil filter.
This has a short stubby pipe to drain the engine oil and made a mess!
I got some left over 1/2" pipe out of the basement and made a nice extension with an elbow. This will make it much easier next time.
So now it's got new filters, new oil, and fuel lines.
The next thing to figure out is how to wire the 12 wire generator head.
I don't remember if I figured this out before and changed the wiring or not.

From what I can tell that double delta 240V configuration you discovered on cover plate works same as that zig-zag configuration I shared here yesterday.
You may read here what some smart fellows discussed between the 2 configurations.

I checked out the wiring thread today and decided I wanted to do the double delta.
Then I checked what all the wires are currently connected to.
As it turns out, it is connected in double delta!
L1 = Leg 1 White wire coming out of the box.
L2 = Leg 2 Black wire coming out of the box.
L0 = Common/Neutral, Green wire coming out of the box.
Should be pretty easy to connect this to my 50 Amp welding plug.
If all goes well we should be able to do a first start on this tomorrow!
