Hello Rufcar,
Did you find sludge in the radiator or a broken knife gate on that radiator valve?
I remember you saying that this radiator had no vent (I think) I am surprised that it heats at all

Guys, this thread is for pictures of your coal boilers. It has gotten pretty far off track, and when I have time I will split the last two pages or so into a separate discussion.

I agree with Rob. This thread is for showing others pictures of your boiler and install. You are free to comment on the boilers and installs. If you need to discuss finer points, you are welcome to start another thread with that topic in mind.
Thank you,

Very nice looking place. I always enjoyed looking at that place when we would drive by with my grandparents. The pictures do not the house justice. The architecture is beautiful. They lived in just on the other side of Elizabethville. This is where my family and I now live.

Olllotj,Every time I buy my 6 tons of rice I pay to have 5 gals of oil added in the truck. I also keep a heavy canvas tarp over the hopper and around the feed tube to control the black dust. I have tried many tings to control the fine ash dust even a huge wall vacuum with the double doors closed but I still get fine dust. I just clean up the entire 2000sf basement about once a yr. I vac the floor area around the boiler and main walk way once a month but the ash always seems to win!
