I'm installing a small greenhouse in our backyard this summer and I like your setup.
Are your buckets filled with anything other than coal ? What is the purpose of locating the drain pipes on the side rather than directly on the bottom ?

Your plants are doing great! Are you watering them with nutrient enriched water (sort of as for hydroponic gardening), or are the plants getting their nutrients and minerals directly from the coal itself?plumberman wrote:just coal in the buckets. hole in side easier set up [flat bottoms]

I also thought you were using soil under the coal. Very cool and I want more details on how your doing this.

Nice Tijuana Tulips. Using any rock wool under the coal. Hydroponics or Terrarium (dirty fish tank water).
Have a small fan running. Nice set up.
