There's plenty of sealers out there Jamie--just spend the $$$ for a good one--read the reviews. Pix--ya know we need pix. I know in my 1/2 basement I just skinned the stone walls & it has really helped--I'm guessin you got block? (1857 on the main house--early 1900's on the back part)

Mine was built in 1910. Simple house, but it has stood the test of time well. It was built before electricity, and had a cistern in the basement. Over the years the garage was expanded a few times, living room addition put on in 1980, and a new kitchen and master bedroom were added in 2020.

my question is what would be a good water proofer, sealer for the walls and floor.
Don't know if they still sell this stuff. In the 1980's I used a product called Thoroseal (spelling?) For basement stone walls that were actively weeping. The house had an adjacent springhouse and canal system that had a healthy feed which no doubt was the culprit. It's finish was like stucco and stopped the water. Make sure you do your prep work and remove any soft, loose areas to leave a hard rough contact surface area. Smoother stones need some help to give them a texture for grab. It hardens very fast so mix small amounts. Cover any bare skin, wear a respirator and use good eye protection. It will burn skin, lungs and blind eyes.

Jamie, not sure what the directions say, but if it were me---I'd wait till those walls were pretty dry before applying.

Nice job there. Putting an old claw foot in myself.

My house has a very narrow bathroom and the tub is short. I couldn't find anything that would fit. I came across a very short claw foot for $25. Looks like it will punch the ticket. I’ll be needing to find some faucet valves for it. The ones that are in it are a mess.

I've seen some short clawfoot tubs that will fit in tight spaces. Mine is a Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company 5' tub, it was cast in 1919. Standard Sanitary merged with American Radiator in 1929 and became American-Standard. I imagine it was installed here in the mid 1930's when the house was renovated and electricity/plumbing was installed. The faucet was most likely just as old, Royal brand, company is long gone. The stems and seats were so badly worn it would grind up washers in a week so I had to keep the water supply to the tub shut off unless I was using it.
I found a company that supplies clawfoot tubs and related items, I did email them with a few questions before I ordered everything, they responded quickly and my parts order arrived fast. https://www.classicclawfoottubs.com I was surprised since it seems lately you don't get prompt replies. I also emailed another vendor and never got a reply from them even though I wrote I was ready to place an order.

Cast tubs like mine will usually have the manufacturer's name, size, and casting date on the bottom.

My old faucet did not have a shower diverter so I had rigged up a "temporary" system years ago.
