I know two brothers with an old saw mill. They have a smaller version to sharpen tomato stakes. Runs on a 5 HP Briggs and sharpens a 1" oak stake in a second. :)

I have an attachment for a chainsaw , it's called a log wizard . It's used for removing bark from logs. It attaches to the bar and is driven by the chain. It could be used for your application.
