Yes, the per KW charges I listed are supply charges, sorry if I was unclear..

Last month when I divide total bill by KW used it was $ 0.133 per KW
This month because of the variable supply charge, my price per KW is around $ 0.10

I was simply trying to demonstate how your bill cound sway up and down from month to month even if you use the same amount of power because of the variable supply rates...
This quote is from 10 years ago.. I just ran the numbers on a current bill to find my cost per kilowatt at $0.207 :o

I just wanted to note that my current electric bill is $324.86 for 1402 kilowatts. This makes my cost per kilowatt $ 0.232 up 11% since January. Which isn't terrible I guess.

The Axe was offline (and currently still offline) for that duration. So all DHW is heated with electric.

our bill ranges from 100 bucks to 200, have seen a slight increase but we got central a/c last summer and that uses more, we also got a dehumidifier since the boiler is turned off.

I don't use much electricity in Summer. Just paid mine for 5/15 to 6/15. total for electric was $21.28 for 451KW.

That works out to 0.047 cents per KW.

And the base rate is up .003 over last month's bill.

My village is one of 42 in NYS with their own electric department (or electric co-op) that has very low rates. It's low because it is mostly hydroelectric power. Our house in Saratoga also has low rates because of all the hydro dams on the upper Hudson.

Alright, enough with the showing off. I'm jealous, the NG stops a mile away.

My power co. had 3 rate increases since June 2021. I only look at the bottom-line cost, not the advertised rate. It's right about $.16 /kwh now. My monthly bills are now at $50-60 a month. Exceptions are two summer months with 3 window A/C's, that run it to about $90. Shoulder heating months where I use a bit of baseboard electric heat upstairs also take it to $90-100. DHW is an indirect tank off the oil boiler. That saves some kwh's, but I'd estimate it's currently costing me $150 a month in oil just for a bit of hot water in the no heating season. When I heated with the oil boiler only, the DHW was a minor effect on the oil usage during heating season.
