These 3 car companies have no assets to be able to weather a storm

of non sales of new vehicles. Nissan debt is junk, and have to pay dealers

to take new cars..Madza is too small of a company in a big cost industry

and is staying with ICE vehicles.Mitsubishi has all old design vehicles and

again no 10-15 billion$ to design new age car...

Interest rates and low sales will force them to leave many markets...

Is that something we are to rejoice over?

The companies you mention manufactured good reliable automobiles.

This is not the product of a free market but that of regulations gone bad.

THESE THREE COMPANIES HAVE ZERO ABILITY TO PRODUCE VEHICLES WITH HIGH MILEAGE OF OVER 100MPGE.

WHY WOULD YOU BE SATISFIED WITH ANYTHING LESS THAN A HIGH MILEAGE RELIABLE LONG LIFE VEHICLE?

Another thing is that even Toyota has zero ability to produce EVs. All of their EVs are built in China... They have no assembly line to assemble electric vehicles...

Barney not sure if you are aware but all caps is considered "yelling".

As far as your question goes why are you satisfied with vehicle with limited range, limited places to refuel for lengthy time? Perhaps it fits your needs and you are happy with it?

Why do you feel the need to criticize people who don't want a vehicle like that because if doesn't fit their wants or needs? You don't get to dictate to others what they want and neither should the government.

We had a 2015 Versa we purchased new. Sold it to my son with 60k or something like that. He has 130k on it and it still runs and looks like new.
I think and thought that Nissan made a good/great vehicle.

Mazda can't keep enough cars in stock. the mazda 3 and cx30 are some of the few new cars that are under 30 grand.
Nissan is not going anywhere. The versa and sentra are 2 of the last affordable cars. One of my friends has a base model 2021 sentra....nice car that he got for under 20 grand new
Who cares about mitsubishi. they have not made a decent car in years.
No one wants electric cars either. Go check the days supply of ev's vs ice vehicles.
The tesla fanboys don't matter.

Toyota has an ev that subaru also sells and they don't sell. See of you can find a corolla hybrid or a camry hybrid or a rav4 hybrid in stock. They are not ready to go full ev because they are junk and they know it.

Hybrids are the future.

Supposedly most, if not all, Japanese car manufacturers are working towards hydrogen or ammonia ICE engines. I believe they are using hybrids to stay in the mpg regulations game until the rules change.

Some people need to yell and only when necessary...

Nissan will bankrupt itself due to debt...

Madza due to low production and high costs....

Mitsubishi due to no capital to develope new products...

By 2035 EV's will be 80+% of the new car market...

ICE cars cannot compete on mileage 100+ mpge...

Now costs are coming down fast for EV's ...

You can buy the #1 selling car in the world for ~$35,000 ....

And get all the benefits for a long time...

I do like plug in hybrids as i think gas will be $10 a gallon in the very near future so its nice to have options.

What I do not like about the hybrid is you have two drive systems to maintain. I think I would opt for two cars. One ICE and one EV. As mentioned previously I have 5 registered vehicles. F450, Ford Windstar minivan, Yukon, Mercedes, and Tesla.
The most driven vehicle we have is the Tesla. I use the Mercedes for grocery and would think nothing about taking it cross country. The Yukon is still useful but definitely showing its 2010 New England age, the minivan is for handicap wheelchair, the F450 is crew cab and capable of towing anything or going anywhere.
Tesla used everyday all the time to go anywhere we want to take it. Great commuter car and great for 125 mile oneway trip or longer. Not even an issue if you need to stop and charge. I have not had to charge it. Wife drives it all the time. She says it is best car she has ever owned and as mentioned we have had many brand new vehicles over the years.

My second choice would be something like a Bolt but still too small. A EV Equinox would be close to perfect but the $45k to 55K price tag is not.
