Where's that 1000V coming from ?
And what's the cost of setup ?
Seems like a VERY expensive way to try and save money.
And what about all the other people that need that power when the grid goes dark ?

You must take long restroom breaks.
So your saying,.... spend over 1.2 million dollars for a Megacharger just to be able to charge your truck sooner ?
And how long does it take to recharge you Megacharger,,..... and where is that power coming from ?

Kriky mate, I got Ausie *censored* all over my phone now. My first rule of a pickup truck is that it must be able to haul 4x8 sheets of plywood in the box with the tailgate closed. Not too many so called pickups can do that. Can cybertruck?

Cybertruck is half-sheets only with tailgate closed. Supposidly, it goes really fast so you can run back to get the other half of the load. Hopefully it won't run out of charge before you can get back to the jobsite.
And with such a slanted rear roof,... only very short workers can sit in the back seat. But considering how expensive it is, you'll only be able to afford illegals for your crew. I guess that's par for a truck designed in southern California.

Online reviews of the Megacharger mention that the charging cable is water cooled.
What could go wrong surrounding a 1000V flexible cable with a water jacket ?

According to the ATA in 2016 truck drivers drove almost 288 billion miles. Tesla semi uses 1.7 kwh per mile. Now get a calculator, use your phone or computer because a standard calculator doesn't have enough zeros, and you will see just how disruptive the Tesla semi will be.

Some "future", huh ?
California says don't plug it in, Texas is having power shortages, Germany is ripping out windmills to reopen a coal mine because they found that their push to being a leader in the "green movement" won't supply anywhere near enough of the power they need.
And now Switzerland,....

Not much "future" in EVs if there is not enough power generation.
