The cost of diesel and everything else

Shortage of fuel is what is driving the inflation cost and the Fed screwing around with rates does nothing useful. We are already in WW III and they are fighting the last war.

Notice a new development, two more refineries blowing up. Historically when that happens those refineries do not reopen. New refineries take 25 years to bring on line and that is why those Texas refineries keep getting bigger as it is much easier to do. So the latest fire in Toledo (suspicious) just makes east coast diesel even scarcer and so cost of over $6 are in our future. That means inflation just gets worse. HO will follow. Once Dumbo empties the SPR we are in big trouble. The Euro industries that use lots of power are already just shutting as of today.

So NG is in short supply and NYISO says not enough fuel for electricity. Propane through the roof. Wood if you can get it and have the energy to process it and must be in short supply. So luny CN says coal coal coal and even at these prices it is cheap. Energy is job 1

National Grid and Eversource are the two major electricity providers for Massachusetts. Both companies have notified the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) that rates for electricity are about to skyrocket.

National Grid has announced a 64% increase in electricity rates effective November 1st.

I am shocked. Can't solar and windmills save the day for MA. I mean those solar panels will be about 15% effective until about April you know like NY, UK and Germany. 60% is an understatement. BB will save the day by delivering burgers to Cape Cod in his Chevy Bolt and deliver daffodil bulbs which can be used for heat.

Germany is just stupid as they have discovered that high energy use factories must close now (surprise :o ). Damn there goes my Mercedes. So they just ran cap in hand to SA and were told to pphk off. Did no one tell him they are in the Russia camp now. So in an act of bravado they just took over those Rosneft refineries based in GE. There that showed Russia. I guess no one told him there is absolutely no oil to refine and now he is responsible for ensuring the toilets do not freeze this winter.

Dumbo has worked out only now we do not enough spare NG and oil products to bale out the whole of Europe as originally promised. In fact NYISO is hinting that S NYS may run short of power if the winter is bad.

Yep, looney CN is up to his gonads in rice coal. He has dragged out his AGA from the barn and will try to light it with his nut coal although I need more. So I phoned Leiby trucking again to help me and got ads for life insurance.

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!’ he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

I am holding a raffle. Who guesses how high diesel will go. The winner gets to borrow FF horses to pull a cart to deliver goods.
HAHAHAHHAHAHA . We voted in idiots and now they are acting like idiots. Why are we surprised.

Energy is job 1 and I need coffee badly

BB says burgers are on the way but may get cold because he has to charge up first.

His nearest charging station is Albany, no waiting as the locals do not know what this funny pole thing even does

Crude oil is less than $2 a gallon right now. So why is diesel still $5.29 and not budging.

Having lunch at a Stewarts Shop off exit 13 on NYS 87 Northway, I saw there were two Tesla superchargers in the parking lot behind the place. All the gas pumps were in use, but no one was using the charging stations.

Too bad BB can't drive that far to charge up. No waiting for a long wait.

Crude could be free - but if you can't refine enough of it, demand will command a high price for the finished product.

I remember the Arab oil embargo in the 70s. The local general store was selling $2.00 worth to odd/even license plates. Couldn't go far even at those prices per gallon with a gas hog 318 Dodge Polara on $2.00 every other day. Look around next time you are on the road. All you see are SUVs and pickup trucks. We don't learn. Every oil crisis we run towards higher oil consumption instead of away from it.
