Fuel for my diesel truck is $5.99/gal here in SW Maine. I ordered nut coal from a supplier different from the one I've used the past 5 years. Previous coal was Kimmels brand...1 ton of 50 lb bags delivered is $488...last year it was $100/ton cheaper. New supplier sells Blaschak..1 ton of 40 lb bags $499 plus delivery fee which is $50 min. plus $2.00/mile one way...about $120 for me. I'll burn at least 3 ton in winter...I bought Blaschak because of the lower ash content. I'll be interested to see the difference in how it burns....if any.
