In the U.S., Massachusetts, Washington, and New York are among states that have set goals to transform their car markets or have already committed to following California’s new rules.

Ma is going to screw the non solar person in MA...
Going to take advantage of the offers while they are out there...
That is why I am taking a hard look at Solar and heat pumps...
Going to be Hybrid off grid to catch the net metering credits...
While I build up panel and battery capacity...
Pushing the 'all electric' homes...
OOPS forgot about that peak load when the sun starts to set...
Stoves, Heating and EV charging will all Pull close to 50 amps each...
Have they forgotten all lights are LED and have a minimum draw...
It is a 50 year infrastructure build in order to accommodate an EV based transportation scheme...
So where is all the fuel tax revenue going to come from...
Either a per mile tax based on yearly inspection stickers...
Or...
A tax on electric use you will need a separate meter for your EV charger...
That will be controlled by 'them' and turned down/off in a 'time of need'...
Or use your EV battery as a' Peak Storage' provider...
Adding further cycles to your already expensive battery pack...
Like I said 'Off Grid Capable' system...
Throw the switch and no access to my kilowatts...
LOL...

“.................... The top three conservation actions are to set thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles, and turn off unnecessary lights,” the American Public Power Association said, asking residents to limit energy usage during 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. .................."

4 to 9pm will henceforth be known as, "1880 time". You can only use appliances available back then. Don't forget to fill the oil lamps while there is still enough daylight.

California to citizens: Im forcing you to buy an EV you cant afford but also telling you you cant charge it up unless you also buy solar panels.
"California won't let you charge the electric car it wants to force you to buy"

Not surprising. Colorado has for quite a few years, been getting many "escapees" from California. :baby:

And the absurdity continues.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-power-offic ... 15256.html

And this is nothing new. One of my sisters has lived in the Carmel/Salinas area for more than 35 years and this (and water shortages) has been going on for a long time. You'd think they would have figured out how to solve it by now.

Well,... a least they haven't had any big mud slides or earthquakes lately. :baby:

I think they're doing it wrong.. Electric cars should have a propane powered electric generator for emergency charging and propane heat for winter.. oh wait... Why not just have propane ICE?

Lightning,
Do ya one better, how about compressed natural gas ? Oh shoot, those evil pipelines that drown fish and gets dirt in frogs eyes would have to expand. Too bad we don’t have an area on interstates to run it along like a median. Farmer just got done chopping corn over top of the pipeline nearby. Super duper dangerous stuff.

I think they should do more figuring out how to make cars lighter. Inflatable body panels perhaps? Most of the energy is used up dragging 3000lbs of and steel and glass everywhere we go. Our own body weigh is like a mosquito compared to the car itself.

They can all use their EV’s to back feed the grid. Problem solved..

Wait…. They were told not to charge their cars, Oh well.

Do they know Crisco makes good candles.
