Yep the Baker electric car idea took a while to catch on. New ideas are not necessarily better and people buried in the backwoods of Maine only get exposed to one new idea per millenium.

I can’t wait until all the ev owners start throwing a hissy about their electric bills once the electric companies start tightening the screws down.

My electric rates are set till spring of 2024 by the state utility commission

they will go up by ~2% each year so no big deal about 1 cup of coffee at a

restaurant per month. This is the delivery part of the bill the energy cost

is determined by the purchase of energy by National Grid, my utility.

https://www.syracuse.com/news/2022/01/higher-nati ... feb-1.html

Our Chevy Bolt last month operated at 96 mpge so about 3X the rate of

petrol vehicles . Electric for 2 cars was $61.00 try to fill your tank for that

money. Can't fight the facts.

I can’t help but think once they are mainstream and the majority of the population is using them electric rates will skyrocket. It’s a bargain now but I doubt it will be when it’s in full tilt.

Here's some facts that don't add up.

Ravies that EV's are highly efficient and are the future. Then asks why anyone would drive a fossil fuel vehicle,.....

................ while heating his house with oldest fossil fuel on earth.

I'd suggest you are picking a very bad time to switch from coal. It's going to be quite a while before energy prices come down. This site is going to be rocking through the late Summer and Fall

And this is why, for more than 20 years, despite all the hype, EVs have not been able to "earn" more than 2% of the vehicle market. Instead of them being such a good alternative that they can sell themselves - like ICE vehicles did over 100 years ago, EV's have to be forced on us by politicians..... who most of which,.... still drive ICE vehicles. :baby:
