Are we on the precipice of huge commodity prices.. Palladium @ > 3000.00 oz...

Oil at $130+ barrel .....Wheat at $12.00 bu... Meats are all up...

Now with the Russian oil ban Europe will be hard pressed to get enough fuel..

Canadian gas could be over $2.00 /l or $7.58 US.. US at $8.00+....

https://www.cnn.com/business/markets/commodities/

Most people have no idea how oil is marketed and what type of crude a refinery

can use without major modification of the refinery stack. Each refinery is built to

use one range of crude and cannot change in mid cycle. Even if that crude is closer

and less costly.

Time for electric cars...100+ mpge at a minimum....

Where is the electricity coming from Big Blowhard? And the grid to deliver it. You are just a shill and paid troll. My brothers electric bill went up 89% in Maine. And he just leased two pieces of property to solar farm groups. But they are all hustling to get the subsidy money because the lines wont transmit above a certain amount of power, so it ends when that barrier is hit. Gov. funder boondoggle.

OF course the biggest shortages are lithium, nickel palladium and aluminum. EV production this year is very restricted. Of course so is ICE cars.

I think green stuff just got slowed down a decade after this war thats going on. Perhaps find a job selling motor oil now. Theres more of a future in it.

What I can't wrap my head around is that America's annual generating capacity as of 2020 was 4.12 trillion kilowatt-hours, our annual consumption was 3.8 trillion kilowatt-hours in 2020. Americans drive over 3 trillion miles in a year. Using 34 kilowatt-hours per 100 miles, the amount of electricity I found a Tesla uses, that adds another 1 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity needed per year or about .7 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity more than we can generate. If the mileage figures I found include commercial vehicles the power needed will be more than the Tesla number and if the annual mileage figure does not include commercial vehicles the generation capacity deficit is even worse.
P.S. keep watching ebay for my soon to be listed bridge for sale.

GAW ::: That is true but we have a lot of available electric at night when demand is

low , so tap into that , most people charge at home for 95% of their daily needs.

Klook::: I have the same problem where I live I can only get a 500 amp split phase service

we don't have a 3 phase line at the street so that is the limit for homes. They have

no intent to upgrade in my lifetime.

This is where Europe is ahead they have 240 and 380 3 phase power and all receptacle

in homes are 240 volt and use smaller wire to transmit the same wattage.

Coalnewbie::: All materials will be limited in supply and companies have to secure a steady

stream of product to be able to operate.Nickel will be especially hard to source.

The copper and nickel in the 5¢ piece is over 8¢ now not even counting the minting cost.
