1000 mile range parked at -10 overnight, resistance heating to warm up so drive to the front gate and charge again. 320 AMP charge and most houses are 200 amp service. As usual a pipe dream

Explain how the moving components won’t require lubricants and grease? Even electric motors have bearings that require petroleum products. Transmissions, wheel bearing, differentials …. Etc. Your shifting the gasoline consumption to electric generation needs.

You won’t ever get anything to come close to electric motor torque. I like it. But… until the day of advancements of charging/batteries im out. I like choice of products, drives innovations for competitiveness and usually benefits the consumer.

Well, you 2 about covered it. I am sure BB will come back and tell about the new technology that is "right around the corner". And the magic grid conversion and powered by unicorn farts. I hear they transmit much better thru our old grid.

I can still remembering reading an article in Popular Science regarding the topic of nuclear fission & fusion. The year was about 1969 or 1970 as I was still living home with my parents. Scientist proclaimed that they were "on the cusp" of figuring out nuclear fusion, where-in the world would have an unlimited, safe clean fuel source. They also stated assuredly that this would absolutely happen within the next ten years.

So much for having any faith in the hypothetical!!!

1000 miles or not, this country is short on power generating capacity now. Especially in high population areas where we are told EV's would be better. The "future" shows that only getting worse.

Some are too young to know what it was like during the gas shortages of the 70's - waiting hours on the long gas lines and only being able to gas up on odd or even days depending on the last digit on your license plate. And when you finally get up to the pump told you can't buy enough gas to get you through the work week. Been there through both gas shortages.

Now, think what it will be like with brownouts when you can't charge your EV and you need to get to work. Or worse, EV emergency vehicles stuck in their garages.

Batteries made using primarily products of OTHER COUNTRIES...?

So nobody learned their lesson during the supply chain interruptions?

I burned $150 dollars worth of gas in the last 3 days....I could not possibly recharge my magic batteries fast enough to replace that amount of on demand energy. It ain't happening until they reset, break down, destroy the economy and world as we know it. That is the message BB is so repetitive in delivering.

I'm still waiting for the $5000 Tesla that Musk promised. Now that could be useful. China already has one
