Is there a fire fighter course? One that teaches them how to lift a complete burning car and dropping it into a tank of water to sit for 30 minutes so the fire goes completely out? And does it show how to haul the tank to the burn site? and what to do with the auto afterwards? I was just wondering.

Being a firefighter in the auto repair business, now that job will have a future!

Hydrogen is not a fuel, it is only a carrier like "electricity".

Why introduce more inefficiency in the process by converting

electric to hydrogen and then converting back to electric?

Hydrogen also keeps people dependent on the oil industry.

In a northern climate why not use heat as a storage medium?

This is already being done in Europe to supply heating for whole

cities. They are storing in dirt and it is dirt cheap. Use solar to heat

the dirt and recover the heat as needed in winter.

All fossil fuels are mined or drilled ...There are no hydrogen mines or drill sites...

"A simple cycle gas turbine can achieve energy conversion efficiencies ranging between 20 and 35 percent. With the higher temperatures achieved in the Department of Energy's turbine program, future hydrogen and syngas fired gas turbine combined cycle plants are likely to achieve efficiencies of 60 percent or more."

Still throwing away 65-80% of the energy, even the 40% waste is too much.

"Hydrogen can be produced from diverse, domestic resources. Currently, most hydrogen is produced from fossil fuels, specifically natural gas. Electricity—from the grid or from renewable sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, or biomass—is also currently used to produce hydrogen."

"On Earth, hydrogen is found in the greatest quantities as water. It is present as a gas in the atmosphere only in tiny amounts – less than 1 part per million by volume. Any hydrogen that does enter the atmosphere quickly escapes the Earth's gravity into outer space."
