Does anyone have a dash cam in their personal vehicle? If so what make/model is it. Do you like it? Which ones would you recommend? Which ones should I stay away from?

Long story short I was in a nasty wreck a few weeks ago. I think that a dash cam is a good idea especially considering how inexpensive they are.

I have a Garmin 66w in my truck pulling a camper. Works very well. Wide angle and records your position and speed. Grumpy makes a valid point. All things considered I like having it onboard.

True but I don’t lie and i man up to what i do, I worry about the others on the road not manning up when they F-up.

I run a Thinkware F200 dual channel in my truck( video is ok but not great)but I’m looking at Q800 pro dual channel for my wife’s and one for my daughter’s car, not 4K but still has good video quality plus i like the ability to GPS the car ( keeps the kid honest 😁)

I like a small less discreet camera and get one that can be hardwired.

I sort of forgot about this thread, lots going on....

I am aware that the camera records no matter who is at fault.

Most recently I was nearly backed into an a red light while I was not moving waiting for the light to turn. I know how things work and would have been cited had I been backed into.

Keep the suggestions coming

I have been looking at some on Amazon I'm leaning towards one that replaces the rearview mirror.
