A study on MODERN car manufacturing
Here's how you run a car company to build cars for the next century , now !!!
This is why legacy car companies are on the way out..
Why do you think Daimler is laying off 20,000 employees ???
Goal of 100,000 rpm motors was mentioned in passing but their on the way..
Look to the future , but enjoy the past as a stepping stone to the next innovations..

I'm all for innovation and an improved product, but to claim petro operating motor vehicles will be replaced in my lifetime is not realistic. Heck, it's not even realistic for my 19 and 20 year old sons to even imagine it will happen. In fact, I'm betting that if or when I have grandchildren, they won't see that happen. Vehicles will evolve in time, but not to the extent of replacing the internal combustion engines in vehicles. Nothing against the thought at all, but anything electric could not replace my 2017 F350 with a 9 foot plow and operate successfully in the conditions it withstands. Frankly, I wasn't even a Ford fan, but that F350 stood a better chance than any electric equivalent that could be in the future.

Still wonder where the magic juice that drives these amazing creations is going to come from? And how to deliver it to the customer? What Barney does not say is that far fewer of the population will be driving. That has been a stated goal of the globalist/progressives for years. They despise the middle class in America because they are to wealthy. The middle class that is.

Production per employee always increases, new technologies may not require as many workers and there is other things like downturn in economies because of the virus. That said any time I hear numbers that sound fishy I investigate, that one is quite large.
Upon further investigation they don't have enough capital to meet European mandates on electric cars and are facing a fine of up to 1 billion if they miss their quota. The employees are being axed to free up money to meet it.

The amish have it right, use horse and buggy. No petrol, no charging, no hazardous waste, nothing to catch fire and when the horse gives out you just replace it with a new one and you can even eat the old one. 100% recyclable.

Horse meat is a delicacy within local Amish here...I'm thinking they got things figured out.

Never heard that, nor do I believe it & I'm surrounded by Amish settlements & am also very good friends with a few families. There's so many false concepts on the Amish, it's sad.

A couple hundred million horses to replace transportation would be an environmental disaster of epic proportions.

His amish speak French too. The French are known to like horse meat. I thought the US banned horse slaughter for human consumption but I could be wrong.freetown fred wrote: ↑Sun. J, my ex was Mic-Mac, that's close enough to you--especially when you were doing border work. Anyway, just called her & asked about eating horse meat--she told me I'd been watching to many old westerns. LOL PS--the Amish are NOT Native Americans living on Reservations & US law definitely does apply to them. Ya used to be able to dig a hole on the farm & bury a dead horse--not anymore!! (except at night or way up in the woods)---double LOL If they have a cow go down they will butcher it. BUT--like you said, things might be different in your area of Maine.
