Sports as a whole has given me a lot more free time on Sundays this year and probably going forward from this point.

I understood that everyone is concerned about quick growth and recovery of the economy via renewed support of business's that have been shutdown.

I also understand that, based on personal ideology and principles, that some will not sacrifice these things for economic growth and recovery.
The average of $133.4 million loss in earnings every day that sports contributes to the economy is definitely a concern; that's nearly three quarters of a billion dollars a year.

I'm curious as to how many people will discontinue watching sports live on Television or in person and what impact doing so will have a negative effect on the economy? Also, if those that participate in the aforementioned, will they discontinue purchase sports related items contributing to the loss of of economic revenue? How many jobs will be eliminated due to the loss of revenue in the sports industry and related to it?

I'm thinking--as far as NASCAR goes-- more people will stop watching due to their ban on the Rebel Flag then this fabricated noose situation. Ditto Larry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never have had an affliction for sports except for participating in them while in high school and the military. I did attend UMO baseball, football and hockey games in high school on occasion. About ten years ago I took my sons to a UMO hockey game. 25 years ago I attended a Celtics and Ted Sox game, as both were paid for by my brother and he wanted me to go, otherwise I wouldn't have chosen to due to lack of interest. I attended and supported my sons at all of their sports events. Other than that, I don't have anything to get over.

They sure made a national issue out of nothing. Perhaps they should have investigated it first. Idiots.

Money doesn't disappear JJ, if I don't spend it on one thing, I will spend it on another. Or, save it....which is an even bigger crime to the Lesters as they want velocity of money not money in savings. That is part of why the interest rates are so low, it promoted putting money in play again to make money on it. They giveth with one hand, and taketh away with the other.

Rope will now become illegal to use for garage doors and you must install electric garage door openers powered by a solar panel....
