My friend Scott Hoag, CEO of MRT, along with Wabasto and Ford team up to make all electric 900HP/1000ft.lbs torque. with a 6 speed manual tranny.! Impressive. He won the design award for it at the SEMA show. I helped him on some previous mustang years ago for the show.
Next time I get up to his shop, hopefully take it for a spin!! ;)

Why would a electric motor driven car need a transmission?

So when it breaks they can charge some ridiculous price to fix it.

Nice car tons of technology but I’ll keep my old school Windsor V8. I’m a Ford fan...cams, headers, and performance exhaust make a mustang!

Its one power plant unlike the usual motor at every wheel for a typical EV so you need a transmission, I think its cool but until I can recharge in 15 Min and drive for almost 1000 Miles you can keep it!!

Such a smart man. I love my 2018 GT to death and have no interest in this c rap. Perhaps a Ford dealer installed supercharger so as to keep the warranty.... now that would light up 5 and 6th gears.WOW.

Of course, if I bought one, I would need to know it was Greta approved.

Now I am getting excited. A day of SVT photos and seeing the Ford V Ferrari movie for the second time would be exciting.

Our stable is 2003 & 2004 Mach1's, 2008 Warriors in Pink (wifes breast cancer awareness limited edition) and an older 1976 Cobra II (some assembly required. LOL) . We hit Carlisle All Ford Nationals in June every year. had quite a few GT's over the years. Started with 1971 Mach 1 and 1972 convertible.

Here's a 'million dollar idea' (remember where you heard it, LOL)

Add "traditional sound/torque/acceleration/rpm curve" sound through high end bass system on the electric cars.

People crave the growl, want to "feel the power" or "ride the rumble"

Bet you sell a LOT more!

I was thinking one of the electric car mfr's did that to make it sound like a muscle car or that it actually had an engine. LOL
I thought I remember reading it or something a while ago.
