Cost of electric to charge

Here's the December bill for 2 EV'S.... Tesla Model 3 & Chevy Bolt

About $0.10 for on peak and $0.03 off peak per KWhr....

You have great rates. Wish i had them. Its a straight 12 cents per KW here, night or day.

I just looked at my electric bill today. Cost divided by KWs is 14.6 cents.

Lets look at that again, what about delivery and all the fees and taxes.
I would say that you are closer to $0.071619 which is a very nice number.
Mine will vary between $0.14 and $0.16 per kwh when I look at the whole bill and divide by the kwh.

The numbers that you posted are about like "free" wood.

Is that bill for your entire home? Or do you have a separate meter/rate for the EV's?

We have 2 house meters one for the cars and one for the household use.

I looked at putting in a ats to switch the household to off peak at night from

11:00pm to 7:00am but haven't had time to do it.

This is the plan I have "Voluntary TOU": https://www.nationalgridus.com/time-of-use

A little of the energy on peak is because we pre heat/cool the cars before we

leave so as to have a full battery for driving use.

This has another rate that has 3 time rates peak,shoulder peak,and on peak

with Mar-May & Sep-Nov,

6 months of each year are all off peak, the chart gives all the other times and rates.
