The site moderators annual bonus is close at hand so I thought I would add a cautionary tale to potential purchasers.

About 5 months ago I opened out front gate at 7AM as we were due for hay deliveries. Parked in front of the gate was a very newish X5, remember this is the middle of nowhere and it was blocking gate access. On the windscreen was a sad little note that the owner had a complete electrical failure and it could not even be even be started with a battery boost. The BMW dealer was going to tow it ASAP.

Cut to Tijuana MX and the medical director here parks his also black X5 in front of the clinic and I told him my story. Apparently he had exactly the same problem and now he was double unhappy as it was a obviously known fault.

So guys watch out for this car.

Next year I am determined to get my WHs running. Life keeps getting in the way of my planning.
