It looks like Harley Davidson will introduce an all electric motorcycle that can be yours for a base price of only $30,000.

You sell the dream and not the product.
I doubt many Harley customers are dreaming of an electric bike. Maybe they could include the Harley sound in some way.

big, heavy and slow, 140 miles of in town speed travel ? look here to see how it's done right.
https://autoweek.com/article/motorcycles/8-cylind ... 0-electric
and don't flip a wig about the purity of the american made myth, been there done that.
my first street bike was a 1973 HD FX1200 ( kick start only )that i customized into a GT road racer and terrorized the I 25 corridor and Peak to Peak highways in Colorado with as a title claimer.
done right for the job is always gloriously simple and the Zeus would make for a mighty fine week end for me.

AWESOME. Love the springer and someone that knew a thing or two about tuning put an SU carb on it none better if you have the correct jet and needle
That's the carb I had on my 73 shovel along with cams, joe hunt mag, Andrews gears, cast wheels and. Some of the very first Yokohama motorcycle correct radial tires.
man I had a blast with that thing, like now I was only 5-4 and 130 and it never even knew I was aboard, it just ran wild
Super glad to see you are keeping busy Fred. What are they saying about being able to do farm work ?

BB, are you comparing to the new electric HD or the 56 and 70+ year old bikes that KC and Fred were posting about? There have been stock production motorcycles that ran in the 10's for decades. Even faster than the "ludicrous grade" Tesla.

I have to agree I'm currently riding a 1985 Yamaha Vmax 1200cc V4 that runs deep 9's on all stock components tweaked to perfection
never mind, the rest of my original post was not in the best spirit.

Put any old Harley side by side with that electric one and I know which one 99.9% of proven Harley riders are gonna want regardless of price.
Now some dudes with hair buns, they might want the electric one. Maybe some other folks who like modern tech stuff too. To each their own. Maybe with time they will make one thats more usable that can go further on a charge. They need a better sound too.
