Looks like US is almost locked out of the electric bus market..

Gave up 100,000 of jobs in this large market...over 1000 times more buses...

"In fact, when it comes to electric bus purchases, China is outpacing the United States by an astounding 421,000 to 300 as of the end of 2018."

https://thinkprogress.org/electric-buses-outsell- ... sel-china/

"In addition, electric buses have considerably lower maintenance costs, as many studies have shown. So over the 10- to 12-year lifetime of a typical urban transport bus, an electric bus can save $400,000 in total operational costs compared to a typical diesel."

Diesels can't compete in buses...

Look where the billions of dollars are going...

Not to the US... China is cleaning house...

"As per industry experts, China adds approximately 9,500 electric buses every five weeks."

See the orders... Thousands on order and the US has 300 ????

Maybe you don't ride but many others do....

https://afdc.energy.gov/data/10309

Cars and motorcycles on the bottom of the travel mode...

They are 9 and 10 in the list.. Get the facts...

In a city who needs a car????

Apparently the many millions of people who are driving cars in cities. But I guess you never had to deal with "rush hour traffic" in cities that have for decades had lots of subway and bus lines. Cars still make up about 60% of the mode of US city's commuter transportation.

IF you took out all ICE vehicles in a major city and ordered the people to ride a bus, subway, or ? How many buses and subway trains and ? would it take to get everyone to work on time? And home. AND then figure out how to get the needed food, clothes, and all other necessary supplies you can think of into the city?
