GM's (GM) new motto is "Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion," signaling a shift to self-driving, electric vehicles. Like Ford the path to oblivion.

Should be required that only SOLAR generated electricity be used for 'electric vehicles' when plugged in.

Get them off 'our grid' to help with overloads. Only allowed to use 'excess' electricity when household pricing is below a certain charge.

Maybe then we can get the greenies to leave our heat and electricity generation alone! ;)

CCW, do not be stingy. PA is only 0.84% EVs, just unplug a few light bulbs.

It's interesting watching the major players commit suicide.

BigBarney drives a Bolt EV not a gas spewing Volt Hybrid.

Major disruption in the auto industry coming with all dinosaur

producers on the line for oblivion.

Yeah, huh ?
It seems that Bolt sales look as if the buyers bolted.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/02/sales-of-chevys-e ... rcent.html

BTW, the new car sales market is still 99% dinosaurs and less than 1% EV.

Add 'Smart Meters' into the mix for plugins and 'Free car fuel' could get very expensive, quickly.

Home Garages here are 'commercial rates' which are higher. Home charging stations *should* be in the same category. If not, I might convert my whole garage into a 'charging station' LOL.

Imagine how expensive it would be to pay full commercial rates for charging the cars. I would guess it is like running a large welder?

I would say a $5 tax on gasoline should make it better.....
