E-free gas has been shown to help small engines, such as lawnmowers and weedwhackers run better, but now that e-free gas is becoming more widely available, we're also finding that pre-fuel injected antique cars are having fewer fuel related problems.

My Dads Model A runs a heck of a lot better on E free, night and day difference. Its probably a case by case thing.
Im wishing I hadnt used E in my 73 ford truck. The hoses are hard as a rock and the mechanical fuel pump quit, which was a reman and put on in 2009. I doubt I put 10,000 miles on it since bringing it back to life.

Finding e free difficult to find in my area so I use aviation 100LL. It a little pricey ($7.00/gal) but my Briggs & Stratton's carb's don't ice up in the middle of cutting two acres of grass.

That's what I find strange. Some states have very few gas stations that offer efree, yet here in NYS, which is almost as bad as California when it comes to the political control the eco-wackos have, just about every station I go into now has efree 91 octane. And it only costs about $.70 to $.80 cents more a gallon than regular.
For low driving distance cars such as antiques, that's far cheaper than having to rebuild their fuel systems every few years.

With ethanol at 15%, we've already noticed that we are getting about 6.5% less MPG.
So for us 15% ethanol gas at $2.29/gal. and 10% ethanol gas at $2.45/gal. are costing us roughly exactly the same amount.

Larry, are your gasoline pumps labeled differently? Ours still say "May contain up to 10% ethanol". I have no idea what the ethanol content actually is.

And I’ve never seen one say more than 10%??
So I should be running 91 non ethanol for best fuel mileage?

I guess I'd better check. We could be seeing lower fuel economy due to only doing local romps with the cars. Perhaps I was a bit hasty here in blaming ethanol.
