I'll have to make sure to drink a lot of beer and come down with the golf cart the next time I see it parked there.

I got it when I was 17. I drove it a summer and decided I could quickly restore it. Well if 30 yrs is quickly I did good. :D Only year they made Grand Prix a convertible. What a joy to drive as well. Not like the crap made today.

What engine is in your "new" ride? I never had an old Pontiac but always liked the looks.

The story is. When I was 17 a friend of a friend had this car. I had 4 aluminum slotted wheels. So I gave him the wheels and $100 for the car. I drove it a little never registered it so I did not drive it much. Things were much different back then. One of the brake lines gave out. Being a 17yr old thinking everything would be easy I decided I would restore it. This was 1987ish. It sat out under a tarp for 10or so yrs . Then about 20yrs ago I did some engine work for a friend in turn he did some body work. I replaced the floors and a bunch of other stuff. Then it got painted. then sat again for another 19yrs. Before I got married 16yrs ago I told my bride to be I wanted that car in the wedding. That came and went and never happened. Last year I got a bug up my ass about having it on the road when it was 50yrs old. Its not perfect but I love driving it. Nothing made today rides as well as that car. Nothing has the personality of that car.
