No surprise there. When quantity is the #1 priority, quality always suffers.

That’s what you get when you buy a Freightliner instead of a Peterbilt. Lots of wind noise, doors that rattle and squeaks all through the dash. Very disappointing considering Tesla is hyped to be the cat’s meow on the cutting edge of technology. Build an assembly line in a tent on the blacktop and what do you expect? Those missing bolts and screws rolled down through the parking lot and are hanging out of the sidewall of Barney’s Volt, check your tires when you leave work tonight Barney.

What Barney forgot to tell everyone is that after 2 weeks the novelty wears off and it’s just another rolling pile of junk going up and down the highway, no one really gives a damn. These electric car threads don’t deserve even a fraction of the attention that I give them, I must be an idiot to keep replying to this nonsense.

I travel Route 22 all day long, 5 or 6 round trips a day on the same stretch, one of the heaviest traffic areas outside of the major cities. I have seen 1 lone Tesla so far over the years. ONE. If these things are going to make ICE obsolete overnight like he claimed last month they better build a few more tents.

Give the guy in charge of quality control a 30 ounce coffee too because he is half asleep and so screwed up on Elon’s leftover Xanax pills that he thinks fasteners are optional.

Yeah, but a trip down to the Smugglers Wharf in Erie is rewarding as all the pimply girls think you are cool. Of course, down there it's only in the last 10 years that they even twigged to the fact that all cars don't come from Detroit.

I havent seen one either, but I saw an old Gremlin today. I remember those were a revolutionary design like Tesla  2 equal pieces of junk but at least the Gremlins could be made to run and lasted a while.

Technology designed by humans, because humans are too stupid to drive safely. What could possibly be wrong with that ? :baby:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/08/thou ... ology.html

Did they ever think that it's technology that's causing so many bad drivers ? Cell phones, elaborate sound systems, complex heating/AC and dash board readouts that take your eyes off the road far longer than simple analog gauges, dozens of buttons to work all that gadgetry added to cars,.... who has time to watch the road ?

My father had a Gremlin for many years, good reliable little car that got good gas mileage and power from it's small 6 cylinder. Meant to be an economy car and it did that very well for the technology of the day. Got a bad rap because it looked like the garage door was slammed shut on it's back end. However, when backing up it had the best rear view of any enclosed car I've ever driven. And it could carry a lot of cargo for it's size at a time that most economy class cars had ridiculously small trunk space.

and yet 34% of the under 29s would consider getting a Tesla as opposed to 9% that would look at a Cadillac. The number was lower for other cars like a mini etc. Oh God, let me not get BB started. So what does this mean for the stock ... I really have no idea. I read that on the back of a toilet door as I remember ... no, no, I remember now, it was an EV magazine.

Thank you for finding and posting that CS, I read it from top to bottom... Barney would do himself very well to read it also but it does not fit his narrative.

This basically proves what I have been grouching about all along but could not find the words or the proof to do it. Infrastructure is far more than having charging stations on every address block of the U.S.

Number one, is finding people who are able to work on the damn thing. ICE has been refined a bit over the last century but regardless the concept has changed very little. Fuel, ignition, exhaust. If this system is all properly maintained, reliability is rarely a question. Shade tree mechanics and local garages are plentiful and most have even adapted with the times as they invested in the diagnostics and computer tools in order to stay competitive. My point is this: If I cannot fix it on my own, I garuntee you that there is someone in a 10-mile radius of me that can... and I live in cow country.

You will not get this service from EV’s for MANY years to come.

Besides... I will have to drive all the way to Smuggler’s Warf just to find these pimply girls that CN speaks of... I cannot find any in Morrison’s Cove.

Friday Musk announced he was backing off on going private with Tesla and the stock drops even more. Seems those that know more about it pointed out to him why it wouldn't work.
