Good thing that it has pedals, because in the new green world there won't be enough electricity to charge the battery.bambooboy wrote: ↑Fri. Feb. 15, 2019 7:36 amHere's your next ride in the new green world. https://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2019/02/1 ... 550163715/

The big problem here will be the price tag. Is there really that much of a market for 50k to 70K pickup trucks. If the cars are 40k and up, you can bet the trucks will really break the bank.

Have you priced a pick up lately? I will use Ford as an example, a nice packaged F-150 is around $50K+ and you get a higher end Super Duty with a diesel they are pushing $100K and I still have a hard time with the amount of trucks they are selling!! some models they can't make fast enough.
I sure wouldn't spend that kind of $$$ on a electric truck especially with the technology we have at this time, I can drive over 600 miles pulling our 5th wheel and over 1,000 miles non-towing with my diesel( all without stopping to refuel) will we eventually figure out how to recharge while driving but it needs to be affordable, developed in a free market and not government mandated!!!
I am happy to be driving my diesel truck but I'm sure there will be a market for them but not for me.

I have been truck shopping lately. And thats my point. A regular truck is already 50 K+ Add to that a giant load of batteries, electric motors, possibly a gas onboard generator like the volt had and you have added another 20K or more to the price.Keepaeyeonit wrote: ↑Sun. Oh but they must newbie. And the plan is they will be walking or riding bikes as the plan is to have most of the population living in the metro areas to facilitate their "needs" more efficiently. Sprawl is addressed this way and the wildlife issues also. Just watch Maine in the next 10 years. Then northern NH, VT, and NY. It connects the whole "wildlife" corridor down the Appalachian chain.

In the article, "Most of the Americans who have recently fallen behind on their car payments have low credit scores or are younger than 30 years old. That just about sums it up. Space to banks ,stop giving large loans to people with LOW credit scores. This is what caused the Housing crisis and economy free fall of 2008.coalnewbie wrote: ↑Sun.
