Is tesla on the verge of a buyout by GM or some chinese company?

and I am about to buy the Mona Lisa ... China already has the Tesla factories and the technology as part of that deal. Even GM knows the valuation is totally stupid. Bolt sales are nothing compared to those idiots buying $80,000 trucks by the boatload. Oh dear, I hope that remark did not offend you FF.

New Fisker Batteries 2.5x Density, 500 Miles Per Charge & Charging in 1 Minute’..,, hmmm,
I need Yanche here. If a 50kw battery makes a car go roughly 200 miles now then the 500 mile battery will be say 150kw roughly (probably more). As recharging is not 100% efficient ... do we need 200 KWs (800 amps at 240v) for on one minute. My whole house only has a 200 amp service and that is about average .... Yep, residential electricity can't ever provide enough power. Now if I imagine 25% of cars are electric we at least need a new power grid and a boat load more coal power stations .More stupidity from the ecolunies. Electric cars do not make sense and never will. Looking at wire size to carry that much energy, how many people can lift the charge cable to the car.

Please stop applying logic or you will be forced by Musk to change your tag line.....Don't you know that solving the worlds problems is as easy as just declaring the solution and calling the science settled?

Resistance was an issue before the discovery of graphene (a newly discovered stable chemical state of pure carbon). Graphene wire could change the game entirely. By itself it has resistance that is markedly superior to that of pure silver wire, and science has already uncovered several ways to make it become superconducting, which means its resistance to current flow goes to effectively zero.

And soon graphene batteries will totally kill lithium batteries. Need I mention that Fisker's major "solid state" battery breakthrough involves graphene.
It seems as if graphene will change everything. Small home computer sized microprocessors that allow for super-computing type power without overheating, etc... Remove resistance and everything changes!!!
And as we all know, carbon is both cheap and abundant. Graphene can be made from coal. Perhaps soon coal will be mined on a massive scale to make graphene instead of heat. ???

All we need is a good Seeback generator and we are set ...
http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/2013/dec ... -from-heat
Now I can get my coal pile to provide ALL my energy needs and store it as above and distribute it on my property Now THAT is nirvana.
A good cheap Seeback generator coupled to a good battery and it's time to buy my own coal mine in NEPA as the world will be fighting for anthracite. Anybody want to buy a cheap windmill or solar panel?

So we are already there in our coal world. .. I will gladly accept 10% if the rest is given off as heat. Where can I buy one? No different than tungsten filament light bulbs that I tolerated for years. I paid for expensive unwanted heat so I could see at night.Practical thermionic generators have reached efficiencies of about 10%.

Seeback. I want one. The future of electricity is looking up.coalnewbie wrote: ↑Tue. Nov. 28, 2017 5:12 amAll we need is a good Seeback generator and we are set ...

Electric powered vehicles are practical now with the proof being the BMW I3 , Nissan Leaf , Chevy Bolt EV , Tesla and VW.
I just bought a Chevy Bolt and it does all it says about mileage and charging.
I charge it at night and it is ready every day for ~238 miles of driving. I am going to go on TOU billing which will lower the
electric cost by 75% down to about 3 cents a KWHr .
Even electric aircraft are in the future..

This airplane in China can already fly for 2 hours and improvements are coming fast.
The argument for fast charging of cars has some solutions which are only needed for long distance travel , not the every
day use of vehicles , which travel ~ 60miles a day, even delivery truck routes only go ~125 miles per day.
The idea of large cables to charge are not needed as battery voltage climb above 500 volts or more , they will be charged
from storage batteries like the tesla powerwall at fast speed and recharged at off peak hours.

Dont know how long tesla can last overpromising and under delivering but the Fed Govt has been doing it for hundreds of years. Starting to look like Bitcoin!
Tesla can go a long time because of its diverse business model , not depending on any one to supply
capital for growth. There businesses are all in new technology and using old ideas in new ways. The
auto part is only one , Spacex , The Boring Co. , and the mega factory are others with large growth in the
future.
